BMI= Weight(kg)/ height (m2) 

  1. Imperial Units BMI Calculation Formula: 

BMI= Weight (lbs)* 703/Height (inch)2 

 

  1. BMI Percentile for Children and Teens Method: 
  • Compare the BMI to age- and sex-specific percentiles. 
  • Use growth charts provided by organizations like the CDC. 
  1. Body Adiposity Index (BAI) Formula: 

BAI= Hip circumference (cm)/Height (m)1.5 -18 

  1. Waist-to-Height Ratio (WHtR) Formula: 

WHtR=Height (cm)/Waist Circumference (cm) 

 

  1. Skinfold Measurements Method: 
  • Measure the thickness of skinfolds at various body sites. 
  • Use equations to estimate body fat percentage.
